You know that the Johannesburg Central Branch has its own e-mail discussion Google Group (this one).
You may not know that Johannesburg Central also has its own blog. The blog is at:
The Jhb Central blog has hardly been used. It needs some more bloggers (Blog Authors).
Please may I have some volunteers from among you to be Blog Authors of this blog?
It is not very much different from sending an e-mail to our Google Group. In fact the blog is set so that all the blog posts go to the Google Group as e-mails, automatically.
So don’t be shy. Volunteer by replying to this message on the Google Group, or to me at dominic.tweedie@gmail.com.
Improved Comments
I am trying out a new “Comments” management system on this Jhb Central Blog called “DISQUS”, which is the same one that is used for “Comments” on Uhuru News (e.g. on this page).
“DISQUS” looks good. It seems to have all the necessary and desirable features. If it works all right on the Jhb Central Blog, then I will put it on to the CU blog as well.
There are plenty of sites with vibrant “Comment” sections.
We SA communists have succeeded very well with e-mail forums but so far we have never been able to get debate going in the way of “Comments” to a blog. Maybe this “DISQUS” service can help us to get it going.
